Dried snots experts!?

I live in a dorm and our air is extremely dry. There are a couple of things you can do. Invest in a humidifier for your bedroom to add moisture to your air. For your nose, dip a qtip into vasaline and rub it gently inside your nostrils. This will moisturize them and help make you more comfortable.

It's a combination. Partly due to a simple vein in the nose. Your allergies and the dryness also irritate the lining. I had one cauterized to stop frequent nose bleeds in the winter and from a rise in blood pressure. Dry tissues would crack the vessels coming from my sinus floor. I had it done about 10 years ago and maybe have only one a year now. I was very happy with the results after healing. One thing I wish I'd had tried is warm nasal rinse.

A full warm water saline rinse goes in one nostril and out the other. It soothes with warmth, it draws out the entire gunk and shrinks the tissue (like swimming in the ocean, but without the eye stinging). It will help with nasal dryness and also heal damage.

Buffered salt doesn't 'sting' as much as plain salt water. You can use a new method like Nasopure, or the vintage, Netipot

You can do this as often as you like with no side effects

well i have a nose piercing, and dried snots get stuck on my stud. i have to soak my nose in warm sea salt water (im sure you could just use warm water without the salt). the soaking makes the snots go MUCH softer and they will just fall out much easier without the pain! ( soak it in a cup)

Where I live we occasionaly have dry air.What I suggest that yoy do is use saline spray once or twice a day and follow that by some triple antibiotic ointment such as neosporin or the equal.good luck
