Mr. Peter Popoff exposed...?
Mr. Popoff is:
1. A Christian healer who allegedly heals people by touch.
2. He is a very active person.
3. He drives $ 100,000 car, and has approximately 32 million dollars at his command.
Yesterday I was watching the TV and heard that the alleged voice of God echoing in the back ground of his stage where he heals people was caught on tape, analyzed and is in fact the voice of his wife.
1. What is your opinion on healing by touch?
2. Why people fall victims to such a thing?
3. Do you think Mr. Popoff will pop off of our life sooner?
PS: Please be serious and no foul language.

I hate those charalatans
1)God has given us the tools and intelligence to have doctors heal us through touch (scalpel touch). Touch is powerful, and faith may contribute to healing, howerver 99.9% crap
2) People fall victim because they are grasping for hope and an easy way out of situations, rather than facing hard facts
3) I hope Popoff pops off soon. But I hear only the good die young so he may live to be 110.

Peter Popoff was exposed quite a long time ago, however I do have some ideas about his brand of healing. I think that there could genuinely be people who heal by touch, through the power of prayer, however I think that any true Christian healer would not want to profit from doing God's work. Rather, he would use his faith to win over new believers. I also believe that the reason people fall victim to this sort of deception is because they want to believe in something, and whoever has the loudest "voice" gets through to them.

The Bible tells us to strive to walk in the footsteps of Jesus.
When Jesus walked the Earth, He healed the sick, made the blind to see, the lame to walk and the dead to live. People were moking Him then too.
We, as Christians are supposed to have the daily walk with God and ask for these Gifts of touch. One of the most devine gifts is the healing touch. BUT, man CAN NOT heal alone. This is done by the Grace of God and the anointing of the Holy Ghost.
1. I have been healed through prayer, without the first person touching me, but I know where the healing came from. I also knew when they were praying for me. I felt it.
2. There is no falling "victims". As you say. We ARE HEALED by God's power through these people. A person can be healed by God as long as they believe in His power. When a healer touches a "victim" and he/she is healed. They are accepting GODS grace and healing through his messenger. Not by the messengers touch alone. But, if the "victim" has ANY doubt that God did not heal them, they will lose that healling FAST. We are never to doubt God's works.
When Moses went into the mountain to talk with God, got the two tablets and then came back down after a few days, his face was so shiney that his people couldn't look straight at him for a while. That was the power of GOD on him. Through Gods power, not mans, will miracles happen.
3. I would never wish any harm to anyone. Not even to the people who wish harm to others.

Faith healing is a joke and its used primarily to scam people out of their hard earned money. There have never, and in all likelihood will never be a truly miraculous healing that cant be explained away using sound science.
People want to believe the unbelievable because we desire to bring order to a chaotic world, and if science doesn't work for us then we go to the second best thing, the paranormal.
I've seen Mr. Popoff in action and his intentions are truly the epitome of evil, I truly believe he would do anything to make a quick buck even if that were to mean scamming the pants off of his own mother.

I never heard of him, but then I don't watch much TV. If that guy's a con artist, you know what that makes him? A sinner in need of Christ's forgiveness, just like every other human being on this planet.

This man is worse than a Satan worshiper because some people are desperate enough to believe he is of God. He is one of the people spoken of by Paul "If any one comes teaching another gospel let him be anathema".

1) hypnosis and psychosomatic/placebo healing and medicines have been able to heal things that nothing else could and by a "scientific and rational" approach, should not be able to fix.
2) desparation, faith being mislead, and #1.
3) meh. whatever. who cares?

i believe that there are people that can heal with a touch. i have been the recipient of such healings. these people are called Shamen. and they do not charge, not one red cent.
i think that people like the ones that you mention are scam artists. and i think that the christian faith is set up in such a way that these people will thrive in their ranks.
