Aadel
My only concern on this web is defending principles regardless of whom I defend; Jews, Christians, Muslims, Buddhist, etc. I have been on a journey for almost 30 years searching for the truth where ever and whatever it may be. I do not follow a certain faith; nevertheless I am not an atheist or a theist, nor am I hostile to either. I am a free-thinker who believes in God, and whose belief is a logical necessity. I question all religions as I do not believe in blind faith or a faith that is inherited. I studied comparative religions for more than 5 years and comparative linguistics for almost 7 years. I am a serious person who does not jump into conclusions, and I do err like anybody else. I have a good sense of humor. I am open-minded and a good listener. I reason and I do not argue.
Spreading vs Esoteric knowledge?
A wise man said "The best one amongst you is the one who obtains knowledge and teachs it to others"
Recently, the words esoteric knowledge have been poping up in my current readings and I am wondering:
1. Should certain type of knowledge be in anyway esoteric?
2. Certain type of knowledge may be dangerous, some would say, but don't I have the right to decide for myself whether or not it is dangerous to me?
3. What is your say of the above quotation and the sayer ansd who is he?
6 AnswersPhilosophy1 decade agoGnosticism vs Religion?
I've recently read a book named 'The Laughing Jesus' in which the 2 authors attacked religions; Judaism, Christianity and Islam, and praised gnosticism. I find the book to be total rubbish. I agree, in general, on a few points though they were brought forth in a shallow way, but in details, the book is shallow, biased and lacks logic, and the authors're dangerous to what they believe.
1. Did any one read the book and what is your say of it?
2. What is gnosticism?
3. What is the difference between gnosticism and free-thinking, and/or are they the same?
4. Is gnosticism the solution (saviour) for our problems?
I don't believe in blind faith, but faith based on awareness intertwined with logic and science. Nevertheless I am not gnostic.
Please stick to the point and good luck.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAfrican fables vs hollywood?
In my mind I believe that the African fables have had a deep impact on hollywood's work despite the two contents; Africa and America are seperated by such a great body of water. How did that happen? And please illustrate your answer with examples. Thank you, and good luck!
3 AnswersMythology & Folklore1 decade agoAesop's fables vs Africa's and ancient Egyptian civilization vs Mesopotamia's?
I believe whole- heartedly that aesop's fables are african not Greek. However assuming that my belief is right, and in light of my knowledge of the two great civilization; Egypt and mesopetimia, a cronological; or I would rathar say time-factor regarding the two civilizations can be considered about the african originality of aesop's fables; one more evidence to add to the list.
What is the time-factor?...And whether you believe or not in the african origionality of the fables, please state your reasons!
NP: If you read carefully, you will find that the answer to the time-factor, lies in between the lines. Good luck
5 AnswersMythology & Folklore1 decade agoDid Shakespeare really write those plays?
Not only did I have read the complete work of William Shakespeare, including his sonatas and balads, but I also studied, analyzed and wrote a theisis on his work. Nevertheless, digging into the archives of history, I came across a notion that forced me to pose the above mentioned question. Does anybody have an answer substantiated with solid evedinces.

4 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoFather, son relationship...?
A few days ago my eyes filled with tears; tears of happiness. Here goes the story:
I chat a lot over the MSN with my son. I always send him links to my questions and answers on Yahoo, discuss the validity of the questions and get his feedback on my answers.
Instead of saying "bye" at the end of our conversation, we use the word SALAAM, which means PEACE. finishing my conversation with him I said, “Salaam”. He answered, “Salaam, brother”. I was thrilled as I realized that I brought him up well. I am not only his father, but I am a brother as well. I believe this is how the relation between a grown up son and his father should really be:
1. What do you think?
2.Would the situation be different if the mother is involved?

2 AnswersTeaching1 decade agoComments required...?
I've posted a question stating that I posted 10's of question I knew the answers thereto in advance and asked if anybody knew my motive.
Some people got angry and charged me with every vice in the town; stupidity, complex of inferiority, etc. I wonder why! They even threatened that they'll spread the word & boycott me. Yahoo has become a monopoly!!
My sole reason's sharing knowledge by evaluating the answers and commenting, then choosing the best one. And, in fact, it is yr knowledge which I'm letting be shared.
Don't I've the right to share my knowledge & let knowledge be shared, in any manner I want, as long as nobody's hurt in the process? Why the negative attitude and mistrust? Isn't it possible, though I knew the answer, someone would come with a different & legitimate point of view? This will educate me, too. Do I know all the angles? NO, I can't say I do. Knowledge is always in WANT, and we all learn constantly from birth to death.
Thanks for your understanding

Mr. Popoff is:
1. A Christian healer who allegedly heals people by touch.
2. He is a very active person.
3. He drives $ 100,000 car, and has approximately 32 million dollars at his command.
Yesterday I was watching the TV and heard that the alleged voice of God echoing in the back ground of his stage where he heals people was caught on tape, analyzed and is in fact the voice of his wife.
1. What is your opinion on healing by touch?
2. Why people fall victims to such a thing?
3. Do you think Mr. Popoff will pop off of our life sooner?
