He will go down as one of the 10 worst presidents in history. His war effort and leadership planning is one of the worst in US history. He has changed focus on too many fronts on this war. First, the invasion was to rid the world of Saddam, WMD's, nuclear proliferation, end Saddam's relationship with Bin Laden, disarm the 4th largest military in the world, & to "liberate" a nation and be hailed as a hero. But, as we all now know, all of the reasons pretty much were bogus due to faulty intelligence, lies, and "head in the sand" leadership. He calls critics of his policies, "cut & run(ners)". They still don't "get it". The American people are sick and tired of this war. We've been on the battleground longer than all of WWII. We gave Iraq the right to vote, but we propped up who we wanted to see on the ballots. We raided one candidate's offices looking for proof about nuclear proliferation. (Chalabi, who was our best ally as far as a leader). We got rid of Saddam, but he was the best buffer we had vs Iran. He hated Bin Laden, and Bin Laden hated him. The insurgency didn't exist before "Shock & Awe", and now we're looked upon as "occupiers". As for the economy, he gave a massive tax cut to the top 1% of the wealthiest Americans--90% of cuts went to the richest. While stats are OK, the housing market has sunk to the lowest in sales in 13 yrs. Bush has been very slow in planning and implementation of cleanup of Katrina all on the Gulf Coast. (I have seen a portion.) If I was a rat, I wouldn't live there! He's arrogant, narrow-minded, and overall a failure. He has also circumvented the Constitution, jailed prisoners without charge, some as long as 5 years, & has virtually ignored illegal immigration, social security, & an equatable drug prescription plan for the elderly.

From Jan. 20, 2000 till Sept. 10, 2001, he was shaping up to be nothing more than a footnote in our history. The next few days I got to watch the confusion turn to okay he did it. Even with no immediate claims from any group taking responsibilty, an accusitory finger was pointed. In this time frame I was actually shocked to see an American President take the resilliance of the people and lay it down before the dust settled. The only resolve he promised was retribution. Nothing more. No taking stock of the situation. No taking care of our own. No looking for answers. No planning. Squandering our power as though it is endless. The proof is in the pudding. He did afterall go-a-pandering for foreign investment when he could not get more out of us without raising taxes. I doubt anyones memory is that bad, when they think about how soon he went-a-pandering after he started his War on Terrorism. By that time, Saddam had more or less laughed in the face of his visible tormentors over their misfortune. By George, if he did not find an excuse to slap this Saddam fella down.
The feeling I pick up from this guy George Bush, is that he is the end result of a spoiled little momma's boy. The kind that would hide behind momma's skirt as a kid and throw punches when no one is looking. This is where he learned to play the victim and how to pass the buck.
As President, that lends him something of note. As a man, nothing more than an ink stain on the pages of history.

Initially, there will be general and widespread dislike of President Bush. They will be glad he is gone, and that will be that.
After quite a while, his policies will be discussed during discussions of modern American politics, and students will read about his so-called "roller coaster" presidency in American Government classes. He will make appearances on Larry King, and occasionally we'll see him in a commercial, raising money for those affected by natural disasters.
A very long time from now, when no one who's around now is no longer alive, President Bush's presidency will be analyzed by historians and in History class, and people will talk of that "turbulent phase" during the turn of the century when war was unpopular and the enemy was not well defined. They will probably identify him as an unpopular president; however, we won't know exactly how the future will view Bush, as we won't be around to correct them.
Of course, when these students come home and have to write a paper about the 43rd President, their robots will do it for them.

Wow, you have a lot of rules, but I'll give it a go.
He will be remembered as the President who wasted the unity that existed in this country, after 911, by taking us on the misadventure in Iraq. And it's not over yet!

This is the question George Bush asks every morning after his Cocaine and Whiskey binge (with snow mustache), he looks in the mirror and goes, "Goerge Bush...?" He used to spell his name like that on Pres. documents till the same adviser who told Dan Quayle he misspelled potato to a class with Spelling Bee students, told "W" he was spelling his name wrong, and should be George, like the Monkey! and Bush said, oh yeah, George the Monkey, (Curious George is one of the many books GB, Jr. reads in his spare time, he reads a lot of books like that, and is very literate from such)
i believe DEVO defined "president" GW, jr. best when they prophesized his forecoming in the following music video entitled "Mongoloid", enjoy : )

He has proved that you can achieve your goal by preying off the fears of a mostly (more than 50% voted him back) gullible uneducated nation.

Depends who you ask. Depends how Iraq turns out. Depends on a lot of things.
It's not really fair to judge his legacy yet though. Some things look bad, and others look great. We will not know how it will play out until around 30 years from now.
