If taxes were not taken from your paycheck...?

If taxes weren't taken from paychecks and everyone had to write a check at the end of the year there would be a revolution in this country. People would be rioting in the street making the Boston Tea Party look like walk in the park.

No not really, but I would vote for the person that would reduce my tax liability (and it is just that) to something reasonable, like from half of everything I make to say a 1/4!

I think it would. People would feel the pinch alot harder. However, think of the number of people that would be unable to come up with the taxes due. A smaller chunk of change each paycheck is easier to sacrifice. Most people live paycheck to paycheck as it is and besides the government doesn't listen to most of us anyway.

I think we should let republicans not pay taxes but they will get monthly payments for police, fire, roads, traffic light electricity, military protection, without everyone throwing money in. Also different grocery stores where the food industry is not subsidized.

I already vote libertarian and reform as often as possible. I don't trust either the democrats or the republicans to manage my money.

Its too bad that these two groups only seem to be winning local and state elections.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAD TO FILE A 1099. LESS TAXES IS ALWAYS BETTER BUT WE KNOW THAT IS A FANTASY ESPECIALLY IF THE DEMS WERE TO BE IN CHARGE.

whatever, nobody would right a check at the end of the year for several thousand dollars. they would spend it all!

Then you wouldn't have funding for projects that matter either. Like roads.
