Do you wash your hands every time you use the bathroom?
I always wash my hands. It's hard to believe some people use the bathroom and don't wash their hands. They just
use the bathroom, come out and spread their germs around. Scarey that some of these people work with food,
and have jobs that involve touching us, or our things. YUCK

I'm a nurse, and when I was in nursing school, we had to stand in a public bathroom for 2 hours and count the people that did or did not wash there hands. Only 60% of the people we saw in the mall bathroom that day washed their hands!!!!! People don't realize that after we use the bathroom our hands are full of germs from human excrement, (our own and other people's, too.) If you don't wash your hands after going to the bathroom, you are in serious need of a slap across the face.

Yes, absolutely. With hot water and soap. I've even gone beneath sinks at restaurants who shut off the hot water in their bathrooms, because to not provide hot water is a health code violation. I find it really shocking and gross when I go to a friend's house and find no soap or some other hindrance to handwashing. If I'm ever in a situation where I can't wash my hands, I do the best I can with whatever is available. Sometimes that means just rubbing my hands vigorously, because friction/exfoliation can get rid of some of the dirt.
The public air dryers *do* spread germs. They basically deposit the same garbage on your hands that you just washed off. It's better to just wave your hands around in the air or dry them on your clothes.
As for the person who remarked about knowing not to pee on her hands (I'm assuming it must be a woman), there are plenty of things in a bathroom that are germy, and plenty of opportunities to be in contact with parts of your body that have bacteria on them. And it's a good idea to wash the germs off your hands anyway, so why not do it when you're in a bathroom, with that handy sink and soap?

Actually yes I do. I even use peroxide or alcohol on my hands after I wash my hands. The reason why I do this is because I have allergies. So, I am very very weird on germs. Especially with my hands. At work I also carry a small bottle with Clorox to spray on the toilets. I also make sure to grab a towel to in order to grab the knob on the bathroom.

About a year ago I heard a statistic on a reputable radio show that said only 1 out of 6 people wash thier hands after the restroom.

Yes I do. I remember a while back, a woman with two small children, were using the ladies room the same time I was. I moved a way from the sink and offered it to them. The Mother said, they wouldn't wash their hands because all that was available to dry them was a blow dryer. She said blow dryers SPREAD GERMS!!! I couldn't believe what I had just heard. Out they walked. Moments later, I past by them, helping themselves to the salad bar(this was in a grocery store)...I almost got sick!

Now take that a step further............you go to a restaurant and the employee does was their hands but then dries them with an air dryer because the restaurant doesn't have paper towels, now they leave the rest room touching the door knob that many, many people have touched without washing their hands so now all these peoples germs are on your food!!!

Absolutely - and most of the reason I wash my hands EVERY time is because most people do NOT wash their hands after going to the bathroom and then touch the doors and everything else - one slip of the toilet paper and who knows what germs they have - EWWWW gross!!

I wash for about 30 seconds, then use hand sanitizer. Not only after I use the bathroom, but several times during the day.

You will only get YES answers here. The NO's would never admit it.
I have many times wanted to ask people that actually look in the mirror (standing over the sink) but don't bother to wash their hands to come back and wash them. I never have, though.
