its been 10 years today. is law enforcement prepared for another N.Hollywood shootout.?
O.K. just wanted to know what your department has done to prevent another shoot-out like in N.Hollywood, has your department deployed AR's, are you getting the right training, is you communications compatiable with neighboring cities to communicate your needs as to where you need the help. things of that nature.

We are A LOT more prepared nowdays. 10 years ago our departments officers carried 9mm handguns. Now we carry 40 cal sidearms for more stopping power. We ALSO carry an M-4 (civilian M-16) as well as an MP5 in 9mm in the trunk.

Our city police have compiled a swat team that is pretty impressive also every supervisor in the traffic devision is equipped with an ar-15. Our city and county all have similarly compatible radios and they communicate across jurisdictions frequently.
