How many have been scammed?

I fell for one bait-and-switch on Ebay. The item pictured was a larger size than what I actually got. The seller admitted he didn't have that size, but continued using that picture on future listings. Blasted him, but I doubt it did any good.

The only other bad experience I've had was buying a Magic Bullet blender. The seller had hid an additional $10.00 in shipping costs in the listing. Ebay actually voided the listing, but it was after I'd paid the initial shipping and purchase price through Paypal. I only got a fraction of that back.

It's very important to check feedback. When I was selling on Ebay, I disclosed every fault on the items I was selling and always shipped promptly. I think I refunded the purchase price once in 500 listings. All other buyers were happy.

There are so many scam artists out there. There are websites that tell you how to deal with just such a thing.

I have not personally had any experience with either ebay or paypal. But I know from this website, so many legitimate looking operations are so corrupt and they can clean you out totally.

I have used ebay and paypal for years and have never been scammed.

I accidentally paid a guy twice, 980 bucks on ebay. I let them know but they paid the guy anyway. So I closed my account and ebay ate the 2nd payment. Bastards.

I've only used it a couple of times, and didn't have any problems.
