Ok I am asking this question for a close friend of mine and to clear my head some. My good friend who choose me as his childs godfather just lost his son tonight thanks to CPS.

Basically here is what happened someone called CPS and claimed that my friend and his wife were not taking care of thier child properly and he was developementally behind. Cps gets involved and says everything is fine they just need to investigate. They told him and his wife that they have no intention of taking the child. They did ask him and her to take some classes and asked them to voluntarily have a home assist for a couple of months. They did everything that was asked of them and complied. My friends wife was put in the hospital during this time with a tumor on her spine. She was in the hospital for 3 months and just came home today. That is when the sheriff's show up at his door with a court order forcing them to give up the child.

Why can they ruin a family like this. when there are real abuse cases?

Ok here's my question. I have a 2001 jaguar s-type 4.0. The problem I have is that the heater stopped working. Car has dual climate controls and has auto temp etc. The blower motor is working fine as it blows plenty of cold air. I set the temperature to 82 and nothing just cold air.

Has anyone else had this problem or know what it might be?

Thank you for any help you can provide. I know I own a jaguar but trust me I am far from rich enough to afford a Jaguar dealer.

Wow poor Paris has to go to jail for breaking the law. But it so unfair. What I want to know is why is it unfair? And why are people so concerned about it? I just read that there is a petition signed by over 900 people asking the govenor to pardon her. Who really cares. Just cause she is rich she should have a get out of jail free card. What kind of message does that send to people? What do you all think?

Here's what I am curious about. How far back can employers go? I thought it was only 7 years? I know for some government jobs it is 10. But since most companies use a screening service, how far back can they legally go? Do these services report anything over 7 years?

Ok I am a little confused on this one. Certegy and telecheck are both check verifiers that merchants use. There are others but these are the two biggest ones. My question is this how do they do this and what is there criteria for verifying? I have had numerous issues with them and can never get a straight answer from the useless customer support.

To explain the problem. I wrote a check months ago for a little over 2,000. and it was through certegy. Check was approved fine. The computer never asked for a drivers license or anything. The verifier was certegy.Then almost a month later at the same store I go to write a check for 78.00 dollars and the check verifier declined it. The computer asked for my license and I gave it. The merchant had to call it in and certegy said it was declined. No explanation except a stupid useless 800 number to call. I went to another store that uses certegy and wrote a check for 92.00 and they had to call that in but it was approved?

Please tell me why?

I just caught a news article about another person who was wrongfully convicted of a crime and finally released by DNA evidence. It just made me think about how many people have been wrongfully accused and jailed. Also how people like for example, in the duke rape case, can still be accused of such crimes and have the DNA hidden. What is really going on with this countries judicial system. Is it true you really are guilty until you can afford a lawyer to prove you are innocent?

Today is MLK day and my question is this do you think that todays black leaders have strayed from the dream? Or have they just made a new agenda? Do you think MLK would agree with them?

I just watched the 60 minutes special on the duke rape case and I am angry. Yes it is a shame that those boys were falsely charged and are still being charged when evidence proves otherwise. But what upsets me is why the black protestors a lot of them were important members of the black community feel that they can do what the did and insult and threaten those boys and not be held accountable? They made michael richards apologize for his actions.. I am not defending either group but I am saying that what is good for the goos is also good for the gander? Like it or not. Sorry if this upsets you and you think I am a racist. I am not, I am just highly upset over the one-sidedness that seems to take place.
