Do you think black leaders have strayed?

i think they if they were white, jesse jackson and the other guy would be in jail for fraud, tax evasion, and several other charges. Does this mean that there are no good black leaders, no. Does this mean that what they are doing is helping noone but themselves, no. power is gonna corrupt anyone, black or white.

I do think Black leaders strayed I think that this nation is too comfortable with the decisions that are made today people think things are okay the way they are and it is not true. In realization we have many leaders but they are just getting ignored because there are many laws that have changed and most of them are not being followed the way they should be. Of course we still have racism, and maybe if you did your studies you could become a leader for African Americans whether you were black, Hispanic, Indian, Jewish, Chinese, Asian, or white.

By leaders do you mean those who are simply enforcers of the MLK dream?

There has yet to emerge true leadership from within the black community, but unfortunately, when you kill one you scare thousands.

And the next leadership will need to address more than equal laws, but he or she will need to address "how to change the contents of another's heart"

I think instead of trying to put out the flames of racial hatred, they are fanning them. As Ronald Reagan said, some of them do fairly well.

The "dream" has strayed, not the people. The entire American Dream has been hijacked by Republican plunderers who have devastated our economy for their own gain at the expense of the welfare of all others, and by Conservative, self-righteous, fundamentalists who permeate every branch of our government today and demand an END to tolerance, an END to pluralism, and who fully intend to destroy this free land.

Many them are staying loyal to their anti-American hate beliefs. I doubt that Dr. King would appreciate the state of black American "leaders". I agree with a prior post that if they were white they would be gone.

It is reverse hate and discrimination and is turning the hands of prejudice on our nations history clock back 50 or 60 years.
