Wacky cycle?

Has anyone else experienced this before? I started my cycle this month 5 days late. I had a medium flow to light flow for 2 days. (lighter towards the second day) Then all of a sudden it just stopped completely for a day. No trace I was even on my period and then BAM it's back later on the next day. WTH is up with that? I was all excited about a short cycle and it tricked me lol If you've had something like that happen, how long did it take to get back to normal?

Update:

I should probably mention that I had a tubal 3 years ago after I had my twins. I had horrible cycles after that and it took me 2 years to get back to a decent cycle. And now it is all crazy again. Go figure lol

Update 2:

Well I guess it wasn't back. I checked on it an hour after I had started bleeding again and I was just barely spotting. I didn't even need a pad or anything for the rest of the night. I guess that little bit of blood was all there was. That's so weird though.

Things like this tend to happen because of hormone fluctuations. It usually depends on your age and where you are in your reproductive years. For example, this can happen to a young woman who is just beginning to menstruate but it also happens to older women when they become peri-menopausal. Nursing mothers as well as women who have began a new form of birth control can have weird cycle changes as well.

If it continues see your doctor. But, keep in mind that they like to see an established pattern when you explain your situation.

After having my son i had my period for eight months straight every day then it stopped in December but at the end i had it literally like you every other day for a week one day there the next day gone..there...gone! then i missed it in January then i had it for five days in feb so i think it is normal now although i think i am pregnant now so here we go again!lol! but dont worry it will take a month or two to get back to normal birth control helps it get straight if you wnat it back to normal sooner.
