BIG 12- most talented conference in the country

The best college basketball player in the country in kevin durant (tex). They also have one of top 3 guards in the country in acie law (tx am). Both of which will be 1st team all american. jarrius jackson (tx tech) has the ability to score on anyone at anytime whether driving or knocking down the 3. mario boggan (osu) who can dominate the paint on both ends of the floor rebounding and scoring, and runs the floor well too. Not to metion an extremely talented Kansas squad that doesnt even have a senior with brandon rush, julian wright and the defense fend in mario chalmers. Speaking of youth you can forget about aj abrams and dj augustin of texas. augustin could very well have his own national player of the year before he graduates. no conference in the country has such talent so evenly spread and so young to go with it. the big 12 will be a strong force for the next few years to come..

ACC, because Carolina is deep this year in talent both on the court and on the bench, while Boston College and Virginia Tech should make very impressive showings come March Madness time. Duke may be a little down this year, but underestimate them at your own peril. I think they'll make a surprise run to the Sweet Sixteen. Virginia is also a team that should make a strong showing in the NCAA's.

Georgia Tech may sneak in to the NCAA's, and, should they make it, will be a dangerous team for any high seed to face. Clemson won't make it because, once again, their soft pre-conference season schedule doesn't prepare them for the rigors of the conference season. However, should they make it, they could make an appearance in the second round.

Florida State might sneak in if things break their way during the conference tournaments, but their chances are slim at best. NC State has had flashes of great play at times, but they've been way too inconsistent, and Wake Forest will be better next year after a poor season this year.

As for Miami...well, at least the weather's nice this time of year.

    My predictions:

    Final Four: North Carolina

    Elite Eight: Virginia Tech

Sweet Sixteen: Boston College, Duke, Virginia

    Second Round: Georgia Tech

NIT: Clemson, Florida State, NC State

a million) huge 12- i think of it gets the nod because of the fact it is so strategies-blowing heavy, however the bottome is particularly vulnerable. 2) SEC- that's a down 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, however the gang taking part in the wonderful soccer is there (Florida) alongside with the style a million team interior the BCS (Alabama). 3) %10- i think of something below the #a million and a pair of spots are especially vulnerable, yet i'm going to provide the %10 some love because of the fact they a minimum of have one powerhouse in USC. 4) ACC- here is an up and coming convention. North Carolina all of unexpected has a soccer team (the place'd that come from?) Florida State and Miami the two have an stunning style of skills, yet they are nevertheless very youthful. 5) huge 10- O V E R R A T E D! they only have been given #5 because of the fact the huge East has been one in all those bust this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days; i might have enjoyed to have positioned them over the huge 10. Ohio State is respectable, Penn State is high-quality, yet you journey the two one with the strategies-blowing of the SEC or huge 12 and that they get murdered. 6) Mountain West- i'm nevertheless not confident, yet you are able to not argue with Utah or BYU's documents (or are you able to?) 7) convention united states- They misplaced any credibility whilst Tulsa became crushed by potential of the worst Arkansas team in years (bypass HOGS!). 8) huge East- could substitute the call to big unhappiness. without extra Bobby Petrino or rich Rodriguez (did I spell that good?) this convention is in a downward spiral. stick to basketball. 9) WAC- whats up, they have have been given Boise State! and additionally... uhhh... 10) sunlight Belt and MAC (tie)- i won't be able to inform you techniques little I care approximately any of those communities.

I am a fan of the ACC, they usually have the most talent, but my pick this year is the Big 12.

Texas has 2 great freshman in Kevin Durant and D.J. Augustin.

Kansas has a solid team with Brandon Rush leading the charge for the Jayhawks

Texas A&M has my favorite player in Acie Law a senior

To be honest, it is too soon to tell. You have to wait until these players go prop and play a few years to have a definitive answer.

That being said, even though the teams may not be the best, I think if you look at Acie Law, Kevin Durant, and all of the pro prospects at Kansas the Big 12 does now.

I'd go with the Big 12, hands down. There's more talent in the Texas lineup alone than many conferences have altogether.

  • 1 decade ago

I would have to say the acc just because just about all the teams in that conference have just about a winning record and the fact that they average just about 2 times more high recruits then anyone else. But if we were going by competitiveness the big east deffinitly wouldve gotten my vote

i think it's by the acc, top to bottom...unc is maybe the most talented team in college basketball but they do not perform up to their potential, maryland, ga tech, va tech, and virginia all have a lot of talented players as well, and the guys at ga tech definitely fall into the category of a team not performing to their potential...as for duke, their talent base has fallen off but they too have some guys that can play, but again they have not been the best they can be

Big 10...ACC gets so much media attention its not even funny, more like pathetic, yea its traditionally the top confrence in the nation with duke and unc but duke struggled this year losing by 11 to marquette which no one thought that was gonna happen, it shoulda been a blow out...
