New Gun Control?

Another bill being introduced to get the representative votes from their uninformed, no common sense voters. You know the kind that get their sense of reality from television, not real life, and succumb to emotional arguments with no basis in fact.

A gun ban has alread been proven useless against ciminals, during the length of time that the last gun ban was in effect criminals still had access to those "illegal guns", so it really didn't solve any problems. I can't remember the name of the town that requires all residents to carry firearms, but their crime rate is about zero, so I think that would be a better idea than a gun ban. Sorry I'm not giving up my guns.

Not surprising..the pseudo-Nazi Demosocialists are in power, and now your freedoms are under attack. Once again these fascists are trying to disarm law-abiding citizens using their scare tactics about so-called "assault weapons", when in reality, they couldn't find their asses with both hands, let alone tell firearms apart. "Assault rifles" already require a Class III BATF license - the guns listed are nothing but semi-auto clones. To top it all off, crimes committed with firearms of the type in the ban account for LESS than 10% of firearm crime - of which 90%+ were stolen or obtained illegally. Once again, these Nazis under the "liberal Democrat" name are attacking the US Constitution, your rights, and the right of everyone to freely purchase legal firearms.

No way will this pass. Democrats already have weak candidates running for office, and really don't have much support other than distaste for the war. If they try to ban this many guns, not only will they definately not win the White House in 2008, but many of them would be done for in Congress. However, don't assume this. I am going to get writing immediately. Thanks for the heads up.

I've already contacted my Congressman and he's assured me he'll vote no on it.. but of course every other lawmaker in the peoples republic of Illinois will vote for it.

I'm kinda surprised the dems are pushing this before election..but then again most people who vote dem don't care about their second amendment right.

Gun Control doesn't work you can ban all the guns there is. People will still find a way to get guns.

I'll compromise.

I will accept the ban of any firearm which is demonstrated to fit completely within the anal orifice of any legislator who votes for this bill's passage.

Otherwise, the hoplophobic legislators can FOAD.
