how can u tell if your water broke?

This is different for each woman, but usually, it is when there is a lot of liquid. When my water broke it was like a dam letting go, just whoosh!

LOL, just kidding altho that would be good because if you even suspect you need to be checked out. Sometimes you have a gush of water and it continues and sometimes it will seal up, you really should check. They have a paper at the hospital they dip your urine/water in and can tell. If your water has broken you need to be in the hospital so you dont give the baby an infection.

My second baby, I woke in the night and told my husband to get up because I thot I had wet the bed and I found out it was my water breaking.

Hello there! my name is Shannon & when my water broke there was no mistaking it! If it broke it sometimes breaks all at once which is a few liters of water pouring down your legs with absolutely NO control. Sometimes it just leaks slowly, but this would take a long time to empty, and still there is NO control. I am a mother of three & i have had both types of this. it feels like u just pee all over ur self. even though u know u didnt. i just got done going to the restrrom and mine broke comming back to the sofa. my sis hers tore didnt break but she kept leaking. u will know when it happens. and dont feel bad to call dr thats what they are there for. good luck

If you have to ask, it probably hasn't! if that's what you're worried about. But if you've had any kind of discharge, especially a mucousy/bloody discharge, then you need to call your Dr. immediately. If you're just seeking information, there's a gush of wetness between your legs...it can be messy sometimes.

Hey iluvmalik you can tell if someones water broke if you start having contractions that are really close together.

I think the wet sensation would be a dead give away.
