'97 GTP- Bad oil smell, oil light on now.....?
I got stuck in the snow and kind-of got on it a bit. Since then when I turn corners I smell burnt oil. I just pulled in from work and the oil light came on and the check engine too......
The "incident" was last friday and all has been fine as far as running since then. I haven't seen any oil drips underneath. And the oil light came on a week later.
Just took a peek at it and I think I need valve cover gaskets. Looks like it burps oil out the front and when it hits the exhause manifold is where the smell is comming from. The oil light was not on either.....

time for an oil change. When you got stuck, was it possible you punctured a tiny hole in the oil filter???????

When's the last time you put oil in your car or had the oil changed? YOu might want to take it to the mechanics asap

is there a rod knocking? check for a oil leak, or just replace the fluids
