Any good websites for 11 year old boys?

My son is 11, and most "kiddie" sites are too young for him, but "teen" sites are too old. Does anyone know of any sites designed for kids between 10 and 14? I don't mind some fighting or mild violence kind of stuff, but nothing too graphic or sexy. I would prefer free. Thanks!

My son is 10, and loves the computer. What are your son's interests? You can find lots of sites (prescreened by you) by typing a keyword into Google. I've included some of our favorites - nothing too violent. Your schools website may also have a page with educational links for learning games, etc. You might also talk to parents of your son's friends - they may have come across something wonderful, and kids that hang out together usually like the same kids of things.

http://www.clubpenguin.com/ (it might be a smidge young for him, but it can be fun. Try it out because it's a cute game, completely for kids.

Also http://www.runescape.com/ is completely ocused around fighting, but there's no blood or anything. just swipes, and then the opponent falls down if you beat it. Runescape can also teach kids the value of money, because you need to save to be able to "buy" anything with gp (game points) He can meet people, or he can turn chat off.

don't do habbo hotel, habbo hotel you have to pay for if you want to do anything.

If you're ok with chatrooms / interacting with other people, then RuneScape, Habbohotel.com, bebo.com.

The best online games are MiniClip.com. Surprisingly Jetix.co.uk has some good games about cool shows.
