Anyone have Lupus or know any information on it?
I have been living with the diagnosis for 7 years. The medications seem to make me more sick? Does anyone know of any meds that actually made them feel better. Right now my symptoms are swollen, sore joints. Fatigue. Uncontrolled diarrhea. And hair loss. Anyone with experience? I am taking plaquenil, silica and prednisone but things seem to be getting worse. My C3 and C4 complements are very low. Any suggestions?

I'm sorry you are suffering with this disease. My daughter has had lupus for about 15 years. There is some exciting new study going on involving Cytoxan. Contact Drexel University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Medical College of Wisconsin or John Hopkins Medical Center. Contact the Lupus Center at (410)614-1573 for info or email them at stdman@jhmi.edu. God bless you.

I have RA and Psoriactic Arthrist for 7 years now and yes I can say I had to live with pain and which as Psoriactic my symptoms are swollen really bad in the joints especelly my knees. It's seem that Lupus are about the same groups of Arthrist I have. The advices I can give you are: warm bath when needed, for the joints are swollen somes times ices pack can be helpful or a warm blanket for 15 min. Avoid cold places. And I've been on this medication (Prednisone) since a week for the swollen of my knee and I can say it is benefits. If you have any questions feels free to ask. Good luck.

Ive been living with lupus for 6 years. when i was first diagnosed i almost died. I was hospitalized for 2weeks & i was so swollen that i had to be in a wheelchair. None of the meds the doctors prescribed me were working. i was on cytoxan and all my hair fell out. One of the meds i was taking was prednisone which made me gain a whole lot of weight.I decided to put my disease in Gods hands and had a local church pray for me. God has completely healed me. I am back to my old self. Doctors say my Lupus is stable but i dont believe that. i believe it is completly gone because i dont have no pain. Im not on any meds either. All im trying to say is put your faith in Jesus Christ cause he healed me. He can heal you to. All you have to do is ask him. This is my testimony.

a friend of mine has lupus and had very irritated skin, with a lot of scabbing, etc.
he looked for all sorts of cures and stumbled upon this high antioxidant supplement that has an ingredient shown to kill cancer cells in a lab.
his skin is not perfect, but the main irritation and scabbing has subsided and he can enjoy life a whole lot more. he actually got me started on the drink and my minor aches and pains have been reduced.
if you want to try it or learn more about it, i found it at www.healthybio.com
