Snow White and the seven dwarfs earned a salary. The dwarfs earned twenty dollars each and Snow White earned $3.50 more than the eight averaged together. How much did Snow White earn?

3.5 + (7*20 + x)/8 = x
this implies, x = 24.
So, Snow White earned 24.
EXPLANATION: Let 'x' be the money snow white earned, so the avarage of the eight earnings = total income/number of earnings, which equals (7*20 + x)/8 and u said snow white earned 3.50 more than the average of 8 incomes, so the mathematical equation is:
3.5 + (7*20 + x)/8 = x
this implies, x = 24.
So, Snow White earned 24.

Snow White evidently does not count the money she makes "flat backing" ????
