Secrets to fabulous nails?
I have fairly brittle nails - they peel and tear. I've been using Nailtiques Formula 2 Plus for two months. They have improved a bit but I'm not that impressed. I also take a multi vitamin with calcium and use Nailtiques cuticle and nail oil.
I seem to be doing all the right things but my nails are still crappy! Does anyone know of anything will will actually result in nice nails?

Drink a vitamin called Biotin. It helps nails, hair, and skin healthier. I think the reason why your nails keeps on peeling is because you might have put your hands in water alot like washing dishes and such. Also.... try a nail strenghtener.. It works. I would prefer you go to a nail salon and ask them for OPI nail strenghtener. Don`t be fool with all the other strenghtener that are available in stores like walmat. They don't work as well. If you use OPI nail strenghtener then you should see fast result. Apply 2 coats on.. leave them on for about a week. Remove the polish, let them breath for about several hours... then reapply them again. you should see fast improvements.

I don't know if this works on everyone, but my mom's best friend used to eat jello right out of the pack, and her nails where strong and very long. I've never tried this, so don't quote me. Its just an idea.

My nail tech told me cuticle oil was the key, it will keep them moist and from breaking so they will eventually build strength.
