Has anyone heard that the USPS is going to outsource thier jobs and lay people off?

I am interested in working there but someone said to not bother applying because I'd be out of a job soon. Has anyone else heard this?

The USPS has never had a layoff and as long as the early outs keep rolling out as technology rolls in there won't be a problem. Postal jobs are very difficult, but if you'd like to give it a shot I'd say go for City Letter Carrier if at all possible because we have the best future prospects. You can look up the available jobs/tests at USPS.com/jobs

no and i hope that they dont because both my parents work for the usps. it seems difficult to outsource these jobs because they invovle delivering mail here in the u.s. i dont understand how this would work.
