Do you believe that God prepares us for death?
I felt last night that God was speaking to me and telling me that my time is near. I am 31 yrs old and I have a husband and 3 children. all I could do is lay there and cry-I am not ready. I am a Christian and I have been saved, so I know I am going to Heaven.
If you are a non-believer, do you believe that "something" prepares you for death, wether it be yourself or whoever?
Hey, I appreciate all of you who are calling me crazy..nice advice. Thanks....

Interesting question. If you look at all the people that are Christians throughout time that were murdered or accidental deaths, I would think they had no premonition about it prior.
I read the answers here. If you fear death so, why would you think that God singled you out to put fear in your heart? The fear you feel you show and share with your family, do you think a God of love wants that? Think about it..

I believe sometimes God prepares people for death, but not all people. Some people just die without ever knowing that it was coming. But then we are all dying from the time we are born, we just dont know when. We all need to make sure that our houses(and lives) are in order everyday, because we never know when death may come, we are not promised tomorrow, live for today.

You seem to have a call on your life that you are not walking in. And just like you said, you cried and said I am not ready. We are never ready to come out of our comfort zone and do God's will. Also, I believe that we need to prepare ourselves for death. We should not fear death, but accept it as a part of life itself. Just make sure your children are saved and understand this part of life.

I do believe in God, but I do not think he was preparing you for death, what probably happened to you was an anxiety attack, perhaps it is because of an increase in stress. I think you should talk to a counselor, to clear up everything...

Sweety, you just had a bad dream. Don't let it become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
No one can predict the future. Look at Sylvia Browne's dismal track record. Look at Pat Robertson's, too. They have to bend events to make them fit their "predictions."
The fact that you ask this question suggests that you may be a bit anxious a lot of the time. If that's the case, perhaps you would benefit from talking to a counselor about the things that trigger your fears. If you can dismiss them with greater ease, they won't rob you of your peace of mind. And they won't let your dreams of God scare you into tears.

I would seek Psychiatric help immediately. Not only are you delusional but you sound like your in the early stages of becoming a paranoid Schizophrenic. You obviously spend way too much time worrying about this, maybe you should just live and not stress out so much.

No i dont believe that. I do believe however that the devil might be trying to steal you from god, so get some garlic cloves and pray.

I think mentally we contimplate death all the time, especially the older we get. Its called facing your fear of the unknown and its perfectly normal.

My friend, God speaks to us through His word. Don't get caught up in emotions, and such. The Devil tries to speak to us too. You've got to guard your heart.
