How can i get rid of hot candle wax on clothes?

If your clothes can go in hot water I would run boiling water through the spot you spilt wax on.

Another thing you can try is to take a non waxed paper bag and place it on both sides of where the wax is and iron over it, it will pull the wax onto the bag. You may have to do this several times.

You can also freeze it, When it is good and frozen take the sport where the wax is and work it back and forth so the wax falls out. You will most likely still have to do the paper bag thing a few times after.

Scrape away the surface wax then use a hot iron to remove the rest. Place 2/3 pieces of kitchen roll or other clean absorbent material under the wax (inside the sleeve in this case,) then cover the wax from above with 3/3 pieces of kitchen roll then iron over the area. The wax will melt and be absorbed by the tissue but there will still be a small residue of wax left which will hardly be noticeable.

Try this on a test piece of material until you feel ready to try it on your jacket.

There are a few steps required to remove it properly and completely.

The first is to apply a ice cube to the wax...this will make it brittle allowing you to scrape off what you can... use a credit card or thin butter knife so you do not damage the fabric.

Once you have removed as much as you can you will need a iron and 2 sheets of brown paper. Place one sheet under the stain and one over the stain. Heat iron to medium hot and gently run the iron over the area until the wax has been removed.

You may be left with a stain if you do... check the washing instructions and try using a stain removal spray ..but always check it can be used on the material safetly.

The first thing is to pick off what you can of it. Then put paper towels over the spill spots and use a low heat iron. You will have to play with the temperature settings. The trick is to get the iron hot enough to warm up the wax so it sticks to the paper towels while not being so hot as to catch the paper towels on fire! If your item is dry clean only then don't do anything other than take it to the cleaners and see what they can do. Good luck!

Put the clothes in the freezer and once frozen, take it out, and the wax will chip right off.

If there is still a grease stain after the wax is removed, place the clothes face down on a clean paper towel. Apply a dual-enzyme detergent on the back of the stain. Replace the paper towels frequently. When the detergent dries, pretreat the stain again with a detergent, then wash in the hottest water temperature that is safe for the fabric.

It may depend on the type of material.

Firstly, try an iron; use it without steam, on a low setting. Put kitchen roll against the wax. Put greaseproof paper on the inside of the sleeve and also between the iron and the absorbent paper. Repeat with clean paper.

Be careful to clean the iron thoroughly, or something else may get ruined!

If the item is washable, and you have got rid of most, but not all, of the stain, you might try a wax solvent, followed by something like Shout, then washing.

use some brown paper and an iron - put the paper (a few layers) on both sides of the sleeve & then iron the paper. start on a low temp and increase it if necessary. the wax will melt and be absorbed by the paper. keep checking the paper & change as often as is necessary.

Use a warm iron and brown paper... Remove (carefully) as much of the wax as possible before you begin... Then, place the brown paper on the wax and use the iron to heat it - The wax will be absorbed by the brown paper when it melts.

get some brown paper (old style parcel wrapping brown paper), your ironing board and an iron. Put the brown paper over the splash of wax on the jacket and iron gently over the brown paper. The wax melts into the brown paper.

brown paper bag....put it over the wax then place a hot iron over it the paper will absorb the melting wax if your left with an oily stain which you shouldn't be just get some grease and oil stain devils and use that your jacket is most certainly not dead good luck
