How to get my Netgear router to talk to me?
I have a Netgear WGR614 v5. Was working fine until I tried to update the firmware to 1.07, after which I couldn't log into the router. Can't even get the login page, can't talk to it at all. So. Hard reset to factory settings, restarted everything in the correct order and still can't get to the login. WinXp Pro, IE7. Access to internet with just the cable modem is fine, with the same cables and from the same ethernet port. Ideas? Thanks.....

sounds like a bad firmware upgrade. You may be out of luck. Contact Netgear tech support.

I suggest that you contact the manufacturer of the update as it is a result of this that has caused the failure.
