I'm in the USA in North Carolina and I see it mostly in the winter. It twinkles different colors...red, blue, white, yellow...and is very bright compared to the stars around it. It's colors are best seen closer to the horizon.

Back when I was a kid, it was the best chicken around. Before the Col. died, they used to pressure cook the chicken. Now it's deep fried. I'll be lucky to make it home before the grease leaks all over my car.

I can't stand it when i have to scroll down the page for 30 seconds because somebody's answer was just too damn long. I mean, if you want to quote the source, that's fine. Just give me the first few sentances and the link, and I'll look it up myself. I don't need an entire wikipedia article quoted on the Q&A page.

It's ridiculous and keep the really good answers from even being seen by most people.

Personally, when i see an answer that's too long, I give them a thumbs down, just so I won't have to scroll the whole page. Does anyone else feel this way.

I do computer work and i need something that I can check customers PCs with, without installing anything on it. I know years ago, Norton Antivirus could do this, but I stay away from Norton now, it sucks.

I also know that the definitions need to be updated, but what I'll do is download the latest files and put them on the CD the day i go to a customer.

Also, what about putting it on a thumb drive? Is there a program that can install itself on one of those. That would be even better.

If I keep my settings using the files and settings transfer wizard, then reformat the C drive, re-install Windows, and restore my settings, will that also bring back any problems I was having, as well?

Someone else asked this, but I wanted some more opinions. Most people just answered with what's playing on the radio today. No one was thinking about the past.

I saw a report back in the 80s about a guy who invented an engine that runs on distilled water. Basically, it breaks down the water, burns the hydrogen, and releases the oxygen into the air as exhaust. He tried to patent his invention, but the government shut him down, saying that by producing it, he would destroy the world's economy.

I heard they took the prototype and told him not to produce anymore or share his knowledge with anyone or he'll be put in prison.

Does anyone know anything about the guy? Or what happened to the engine? More importantly, how difficult would it be to create an engine like that with today's technology?

Have you noticed that in every generation, the children are getting bigger and developing earlier than the previous generation? I see high school girls that have bodies like barbie dolls and the boys look like pro wrestlers. I don't remember seeing girls like that when I was in high school.

My opinion is that it comes from milk, beef, and chicken. The hormones and steroids they feed the cows and chickens to produce more milk and grow faster is entering our bodies directly as we eat them. I saw a show on Discovery Ch. that says a chicken can be fully grown in 30 to 45 days. Incredible! Girls are hitting puberty 3 years earlier than just 50 years ago. Average height in 1960 was 5'8" (men) and 5'3" (women), now it's 5'9 1/2" and 5'4", respectively. And average male weight went from 166 lbs to 191 lbs. A 25 lb. increase! Some blame the fast food industry, but I think it's the hormones.

What I'd like to do is take a list of numbers and compare them to see which number repeats the most and place that number in another cell. Problem is, I don't know enough about Excel to write the proper formula. Can anyone help me?
