How accurate are online IQ tests?

Over the past 10 years, I've taken about 7 different IQ tests either online or from books.

In every test I got between 115 & 120. Is it safe to assume my real IQ is in this region?

You probably are fairly bright, but to get an accurate score you need to take a real test that is administered by an organization that does testing and scoring.

    Good luck.

On line IQ tests are worthless. The only reliable and valid ones are administered by a qualified psychologist under controlled conditions, like the Stanford-Binet or the WISC for children.

they, (the on line IQ test!) tent to make you think your smart so you'll spend money to find out just how smart. Like most things on line, it's a scam. If you notice, after you take the test they'll email you and try to get you to spend some money.

Jurydoc has the best answer to this, followed by Alexis. I do psychological testing for a living. So the short answer is, "No."
