When voting for best answer do you think everyone reads every question before voting or just the first few?

I always see the first 2 answers have the majority votes when the best answers are sometimes at the middle or bottom of the list.

Mine often get chosen from down below in the list, so I guess it depends. I try to read them all when voting.

    Everyone?

    No, not everyone does that.

As you, yourself say, the majority of votes are on the top, which means that not everyone picks among the first few.

But, yes, it does seem that a lot of those who vote read as few as possible and pick among them.

I tend to leave open questions up in a window, giving others time to answer before I weigh in (that way, a lot of times I don't have to answer, as I have nothing to add).

    Yet I get votes, too.

Yes. Personally I think a lot of people do not read the answers and just vote to get the points, they couldn't care less what the answer actually says...

  • me personally I ask questions and I use my own judgement before giving the best answer... Thats me personally hopefully some others are the same way as well...

I guess it all depends on how the person like the answer.

depends on how many answers you have to read through probably.
