Best restaurants in San Diego, CA for special occasions?

It's my boyfriends birthday in April and I was wondering what the best restaurants are? I looked in to dinner cruises but am iffy about the crowed (we're late 20's). Any more suggestions? Price is not an issue. Thanks.

Best restaurants and you're getting Bucca Di Beppo? I know San Diego doesn't have the best restaurants, but come on...

The Ocean Terrace Bistro in La Jolla is pretty good, as one of the other people said. Check out Laurel or Bertrand at Mr. A's in Banker's Hill, Jack's, the Marine Room, or Azul in La Jolla, 150 Grand or Asia Vous in Escondido, 1500 Ocean at the Hotel Del, Mortons or Flemings for great steak houses, Mille Fleur in Rancho Santa Fe, Cavaillon in Santa Luz... I could go on and on and I haven't even reached the Gaslamp.

If you want something trendy, cool, and fun go to Jack's in La Jolla or Laurel in Banker's Hill.

There are plenty of passions to follow in San Diego and that hotelbye is the area to begin discovers what San Diego needs to offer. In the San Diego vacation you will step outside of your rut and you'll investigate new actions while you're here and you may just see that finding a brand new goal is an adventure in itself. Among the places should see from San Diego is Balboa Park. This park has around a 1400 acre and here you'll find famous structures, numerous museums, gardens, and natural space. The park was created for the Panama California Exhibition of 1915-1916. The main structure is Spanish-Mexican fashion, minimal level buildings that merge with the normal surroundings. On the list of shows of the park will be the Botanical Gardens and lily lake, the Museum of Man, the Museum of Natural History, the San Diego Museum of Art, and the popular San Diego Zoo. Even if you never get into a developing the park is merely a beautiful place.

Hornblower does have dinner cruises. The food is ok...not bad but not terrific. Cruising on the bay is fun and there was dancing as well when I went. We had fun.

Some of the most romantic restaurants are: Bertrand at Mister A's, Georges at the Cove Outdoor Terrace Bistro, and Marine Room. For more info on these restaurants and more ideas on romantic dates in San Diego go to http://www.sandiego-romantics.com./

  • Here's a listing of special occasion restaurants in San Diego, which could help you start to do a little research. I'd agree about Buca di Beppo - especially if they have the Pope room (a personal favorite of mine).

Please don't go to Bucca Di Beppo! There are several, if not more, great places all over SD!! The Marine Room in La Jolla-Mister A's at Banker Hill-Salvatore's, Rainwaters downtown-The Palms, Flemings in the Gaslamp.....if none appeal-check out www.gayot.com for restaurant pricing & reviews by area-Enjoy!!

Try the Brazilian restaurant called Rei do Gado in downtown Gaslamp. I ate there a month ago for my 5 year anniversary with my bf. The atmosphere is romantic and the food is even better!!!!

Buca di Beppo. I think there is one in the gaslamp quarter. There are a ton of wonderful restaurants in the gaslamp area of San Diego.

Bertrand at Mister A's is a pretty good restaurant, specially if you go at night its pretty romantic cause you get to see downtown SD from a different view

I highly recommend Mille Fleurs if you like French food, Betrand at Mr. A's is good too.
