i havent taken it, lol so sorry for answering, but i have friends that have. THe first thing you need to know is drink tons of water, or you will become dehyrdited and that can cause serious problems. The second thing you need to know is that you need to cycle off the stuff every few weeks or so or your body will become dependt on it and you will actually lose strength once you stop taking it. Also dont over do it or your muscles will b watery inteasd of built. I take muscel milk, which works extremly well and tastes amazing. I would suggest that as a supplement. I has 32 grams of protein per serving (and if you add milk which tastes alot better than water 2 it has 40) and it also helps your body produce more creatine naturally, which means you dont have to worry about cycling off, or being dehyrited.

As a former athletic trainer I can tell you now that even 10 years later, we still don't know enough about Creatine. And one of the negative effects is that it can slowly shut down your kidneys because your body is not used to that amount of Creatine (your body makes Creatine naturally). When I took sports medicine classes in high school and college, there was a big push to get strength training coaches away from it because it also could cause dehydration. Some other downsides are possible increased blood pressure, headaches, and clenched teeth.
Personally I don't believe there's any "upside" to synthetic supplements because there's always going to be some kind of side effect. If you want to bulk up, increase your diet with protein rich foods. Also, giving your muscles time in between workouts to heal and repair themselves (the bulk comes from the tearing of muscle fibers during lifting, when they heal they produce more fibers giving you bulk). Don't over do it.
Also increasing your caloric intake with healthy foods will add bulk. When you build muscle, the increase in muscle burns more calories. So think about the addition of eggs, dairy, beans, nuts, and whole grains.
Should you still insist on taking supplements, take actin and myosin. Actin and Myosin (Proteins) are the building blocks of muscle tissue and the only supplement I can really comprehend recommending if you insist on supplements.

Creatine is considered by some a steroid so i would be careful if you are participating in a sport where they check you for that stuff
otherwise the only thing creatine does is help your muscles lose water so they tear more and build quicker.
henceforth you should drink lots of water

It really wasn't worth the hassle of cycling it and all that. If you do go that route make sure to drink plenty of water or you could dehydrate yourself.
