Garlic has recently been shown not to work as well as is claimed.

Instead of a supplement or herbs, eat more fiber, from fruits and veggies, lower animal fats(instead of red meat try fish, or more chicken or turkey), better good fats(omega 3, 6 etc) you can get lots of foods now with these added. Cut down on the sugars a bit by eating more whole grain foods, which is easy, whole wheat pasta and bread instead of regular pasta and bread.

Drink more water, do some form of exercise that you like, even if it's just a walk through the park.

    If you smoke, try quitting.

Basically feed your body well and treat it well and it will be well. There is no simple magic solution. But there are minor changes you can do that will make a huge impact in the long run.

Garlic can lower the blood pressure but it's not a cure for the condition. Herbs can't cure the condition unless you change diet and exercise. A positive attitude will help. Your trying to answer the question by suggesting where to find the answer. Keep an open mind when looking for answers.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

I don't know about any herbs that will lower your blood pressure, but what has helped me is losing weight and staying away from table salt and reading food labels for the sodium content. Sodium is in everything processed: canned and frozen.

OTC Remedies for reducing high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes are generally ineffective. What works like a charm is weight loss. Drop a few lbs and almost immediately your blood pressure and other problems begin to resolve themselves.

As Xanthone said Mangosteen juice has ingredients that act as anti inflammatories. But Goji Juice is more beneficial to those with high blood pressure.

I suggest Acai Plus, it has Mangosteen, Acai and Goji Berries plus Yerba Mate and a ton of other helpful ingredients. You drink one ounce a day and it makes a huge difference.
