What do you feel about the Romanian WASR-10 AK-47?

The single stacks are very inexpensive, has anyone had problems with them? They go on sale every now and then for $219.00

Update:

They go on sale at Dunhams every couple months and have a couple AK-47 types for under $300

Any of the Eastern Bloc (European) AK's tend to be better quality than the Chinese "monkey copies", especially those built on machined receivers, instead of stamped ones. I know 6 or 8 who have bought them from everywhere (I have an East German that's YEARS old) & I've never heard anyone beatch about the weapon, just crappy ammo once in a while.

The single-stacks, for which we can thank "Slick Willy" Cliton, his twate wife, and the rest of the Demacrack gun-thieves, are wasted money, with all the other AK clones on the market! They're reliable, but, for your hard earned coin, spend a little more for a double-stacker.

P.S: Oh, George, where Ya' think all these AK parts kits come from? They sure as shite ain't made here in the States! !

Cheap & reliable, but low in quality compared to all other countries manufacture. Only holds 10 rds. Many have been chopped open to accept hi-cap mags and poorly reassembled. All AKs sold in America are made with American made receivers, trigger parts, and can not be converted to full-auto for that reason. Each one must have 10 American made parts to be legal. Get a Yugo--Top of the line quality made with modern metals on modern equipment and using heavier duty receivers (RPK type) and super sweet Tapco G2 trigger assy.s. Cost a bit more but way better gun.

Not impressed by some Romanian AK"s. The Russian satellite countrys never were as high on the quality control aspects of gun making.

I have one that I really love. I have shot hundreds of rounds through it every weekend for a couple years and have very rarely jammed. It's a great gun for just having fun at the range and defending your freedom, but is not in any way a tac-driver. I have decent accuracy with mine at 100 yards, I can typically get about 4-5" groups.

They aren't bad for what they are.

I like them better than some of the Chinese AK's,

But Poland, Russia, Bulgaria and Yugoslavia eclipse them.

But those better AK's don't come in a discount 10-rnd. version, either.

    It's an excellent deal.

  • Dont bother with a rifle that only accepts single stack magazines. With the assualt weapons ban no longer being in effect, go with a weapon that takes hi cap mags. And you no longer need a dumbass thumbhole stock. Weapons dont need a sporting purpose. The founding fathers who penned the 2nd amendmet wanted us to be able to out gun a standing army if our leaders became tyrantical. The liberal scum sucking sub humans can take thier sporting purpose and stuff it.

They're cheap and reliable. A friend of mine has one and has never had a problem with his.

I'd buy one if i could find them at that price here.
