these buses are for the special needs children who go to public school..its a cruel joke on children and young adults who are handicapped for life and will not know of the simple pleasure of going through life without being made sport of by a cruel world..God Love them all

in the states, the short bus is what all the children with mental disabilities take to school.
it's a way of calling someone retarded.

"The short bus" refers to a bus at school that the kids who have severe disabilities(Down's syndrome, etc) ride on, so they don't have to mix with the general population and get picked on.
