1983 Honda Shadow VT750C Trade-in Help?
I'm going to attempt to trade in my bike (listed above). This will be the first time I've tried to trade in a vehicle. The bike occasionally has starting issues, but will never repeat the problem for my mechanic to fix it (part of why I don't want to sell it on my own). I've been browsing around on e-bay and local adds to get a feel for what my bike is worth and they seem to be selling in the $1000-$1500 range. So my two questions would be
a) What kind of price will I most likely be looking at for a trade in?
b) What kind of haggling space to they usually leave when they give you a price?

I hate to tell you, but, it has been my experience that unless your older bike is in mint condition the dealer is going to offer you very little for your bike. However, it also depends on the bike you are looking to purchase, for instance if your after a $18,000 Goldwing they may be willing to give you more.
