Is there a way to find the mailing address of a soldier overseas?
My foster brother is currently serving in Iraq. He gave me an address for where to reach him, but the letter my mom sent to him was returned. I haven't heard from him in over a month by e-mail and want to contact him. The address includes his battalion and such. Is there a way to find the correct address for him? Maybe if I contact the National Guard?
4 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoMy cat has a small sore on her stomach and another on her haunch. What could it be?
I was away from home for a week and a half and when I came back I noticed a small sore on my cat's belly. It doesn't look infected but its pinkish (close to her skin color) and scabby. I haven't noticed any changes in it for better or for worse. I just happened to notice another one on her rear haunch today (probably didn't notice it before because her fur is really thick there). I'm going back on vacation at the end of the week and don't know if this is something I should bring her to the vet for or not. I'd rather not spend the time/money if I don't need to (I tend to overworry about my cat and have brought her in unnecessarily before).
2 AnswersCats1 decade agoGRE Help - Study Guide Recommendations?
I'm looking for books to help study for the GREs (both general and biology subject exams). If you've used a book to help study, which did you use and was it helpful?
Also, as I've been reading comments on amazon.com for the different books, I've noticed some confusion about books not being compatable with the 'new' test. I can't seem to find any info about the 'new' test. Is this something I need to worry about with which book I buy?
1 AnswerStandards & Testing1 decade agoDo I need to replace my exhaust pipes?
My brand new 2007 Shadow Spirit was hit by a co-worker in our parking lot the other day and it was tipped. She has already promised to get all the damage fixed. She is super-nice and if possible I'd like it to be as cheap as possible (without comprimising how my bike ages). Both exhaust pipes were scratched. Is there anything other than replacing the pipes altogether that will fix the scratches without making the pipes more susceptible to corrosion as the bike ages? I'm especially nervous about this as I live in a salty air environment.
5 AnswersMotorcycles1 decade agoNeed help in Paper Mario for Gamecube - Inside Hooktail's Castle?
I am at the part of the game where you need to open a gate using a red box. I know that you are supposed to use Koop's 'hold' ability to open it and then run it, but I can't get it to hold. It just bounces off the box and I don't have enough time to run the the gate. If I get far enough away from the box I can get the hold to work, but when I let go it doesn't go towards the box. Any tips?
3 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade agoKeeping a New Bike Looking Great...?
So, I've never owned a brand new motorcycle. I'm getting my first today. Aside from regular maintenance are there any other nice tips/tricks to keeping it looking/running great as long as possible.
My current bike is old and has lived on the CA coast all its life. The salty air has done a number on the exhaust pipes and other non-painted surfaces. I don't want this one to end up like that.
5 AnswersMotorcycles1 decade ago1983 Honda Shadow VT750C Trade-in Help?
I'm going to attempt to trade in my bike (listed above). This will be the first time I've tried to trade in a vehicle. The bike occasionally has starting issues, but will never repeat the problem for my mechanic to fix it (part of why I don't want to sell it on my own). I've been browsing around on e-bay and local adds to get a feel for what my bike is worth and they seem to be selling in the $1000-$1500 range. So my two questions would be
a) What kind of price will I most likely be looking at for a trade in?
b) What kind of haggling space to they usually leave when they give you a price?
3 AnswersMotorcycles1 decade agoCA State Tax Refund for Phone Overpayment?
My boyfriend just told me that everyone in CA who has a phone (landline) is entitled to an extra $30 back this year on their taxes. He said it was something about a court settlement because people were overcharged?
Does anyone else know about this or where I could find the info on it?

I'll be taking the GRE general and biology subject exams this summer. What are the best ways to prepare for these? Especially for the biology one. I'm a marine biology major and have not had many classes that involve cell/molecular stuff.
