What spices can I sprinkle on hummus?

I just made some Fantastic World Foods' brand Original Hummus. What spices can I sprinkle on top to spruce it up? Thanks.

Oh man, what can't you put in hummus??

    -lemon peel/ lemon pepper

    -dill

    -rosemary (yuuuuummm)

    -diced peppers

-some types of hummus even have 40-spice seasoning

-lots and lots of garlic and a bit of salt

    -like pickles? add some.

-My favorite of all time is avocado and jalapeno

    -or just avocado...

Whatever you like best, just add it to your hummus and it will be awesome.

Here are some great recipes: Hummus This hummus recipe is perfect for those who like hummus, but not with tahina. Many children don't like tahini, so this is a great recipe to make for them. 1 can garbanzo beans / chickpeas 1/4 cup olive oil 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 teaspoon cumin In a food processor, blend all ingredients together until smooth and creamy. ============= Hummus Quick, easy, and healthy what more could you ask for? 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, rinsed and drained 1/2 cup plain yogurt 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 2 teaspoon minced garlic 2 teaspoon olive oil 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin 1 tablespoons tahini Mix all ingredients together in a food processor or blender. Mix until smooth. Tahini is roasted sesame seed paste. This can be found in the ethnic food section. If this is unavailable, you may substitute creamy peanut butter for this.

Cracked pepper is what we add most often but we've also added just a dab or a sprinkle of yasai furikake (vegetable spice, a Japanese spice blend; check out the link).

Hey, we just tried a spash of Tabasco Chipolte, too. Ate it with blue corn tortilla chips. Was great.

Why do some of these suggestions get TD'd? All look good to me!

Here's my totally different take on hummus...

Raw sugar with cinnamon and nutmeg! Dessert hummus is also good with cardamom and a dash of Tabasco<evil grin>.

Let the thumb-downs begin (until you try it<g>)!

Non-spice suggestion: a puddle of fruity olive oil, and some chives.

Paprika (it is a bright orange/red colour)

    Ground Cumin

It can be garnished with nuts (especially walnuts and pine nuts), tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and mushrooms (just use your imagination and go by what you like). Also, before serving, drizzle a little olive oil on top.

you could use anything you'd like to use, as long it is fresh and remeber not to put too much at once, taste it a little at a time and see what happens afterwards, somepople like it spicy some like it mild, some like tangy or bitter.
