What does the 'Powerball' in my dishwashing tablet do?

I just has to know!

Update:

I suspected as much. Shame that it's a cynical marketing ploy. Won't even give me super powers then.

    My sister used to work for a company which made soap powder, dish wash tabs etc and she reliably informs me that they do diddly squat. They are just a marketing device to attempt to differenciate their tablets from others on the market.

    They do nothing! The manufacturer claims a purpose just so the consumer may purchase them. What jerks huh?
