What should I wear to a wedding?
I'm going to a wedding at the end of April in Orlando florida. I've never been to a wedding before, so I don't really know what people wear. It's going to be a roman catholic wedding, probably in a church. My boyfriend is doing shirt and tie. I know you're not supposed to wear white. Some specific ideas would be great. I like vintage looking stuff.

Dress for a wedding is generally smart and fairly conservative. The key thing is not to try to upstage the bride - that's where the wearing white rule comes from. Don't wear black, either.
Vintage clothing is a really great idea for a wedding; it's what I usually wear. Orlando will be warm, so I would look for a pretty 50s-style sundress in a bright, pastel or neutral colour (whatever suits you, just not black or white), with a contrasting cardigan, bolero jacket or shawl to cover your shoulders. You could wear a sunhat as well if you like. Accessorise with pretty, but not too flashy, jewellery.
It's important to keep the outfit fairly conservative, especially as it's going to be in a church. So your hemline should be no higher than an inch or two above the knee, and don't go for a plunging neckline. This is pretty easy to achieve if you're going for a 50s-ish style as most dresses are like that from that era. You'll definitely need something to cover your shoulders and upper arms while you're in the church at least.
Good luck and have a great time!

You can wear whatever you want to a wedding that is dress-up casual. A nice vintage dress in a light color (because it will probably be hot) would be cute. Go online to department stores and look in the categories that say something like "prom and wedding" and you will get some ideas. Just don't try to "out do" the bride or she will not like you anymore.

Maybe something after-5? A nice vintage looking dress that isn't too casual would be great!

When smart casual. Since you like vintage clothes, wear it then. There is no do's and don'ts - just be presentable.
