The Patriot Act is a divinely inspired document. Be proud of it, and uphold the brave souls who composed and voted for its adoption.
We are led by men and women of valor and selfless dedication. They have worked long and hard to serve us. No one in the House or Senate has sought personal gain, but instead each has sacrificed being away from their families much more than most Americans.
It is a privilege to live and work in the United States of America. I have enjoyed seeing the rights and freedoms expanded since my birth, and am sure that this momentum will continue.
The businesses of America inspire me by their willingness to be fair in pricing their fine products, and addressing my every concern, without delay.
The people of our nation have been cooperative, encouraging to one another and downright amazingly loving and respectful, without any regard for color, status or religious background.
The media has been much more than stellar. They have delivered to us all, in a timely manner, the FACTS, without bias or prejudice, so that we have been very able to elect the very finest to represent us.
I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, we ought to do all that is required of us, without any doubt that our leaders truly care, and will continue to pass only those laws which will enlarge our liberties, inspire our reverence and cause us to stand, as one and shout praises to the perfect blessing of being Americans.
No Founding Father, even the greatest one, could today stand next to even the least of our public sevants and be at all even near his or her equal.
The goodness is not limited to the Federal heroes. No, our State, County and Local servants also deserve our obedience and trust.
We are free. We are relatively wealthy. We are a wise and virtuous people. Our nation shines as a beacon to a dreary and needy world.Government has done this, and has never once asked us for a single thanks.
We are the ones who should voluntarily begin a draft movement to increase the pay and retirement of all those who wear the uniform, who strive to be our guides and who oversee our safet, health and happiness.
Without our government and the many diligent people who work in the various agencies and departments, we would be unable to achieve anything. Only after taxes began to be collected did America begin to rise up. Only after our government created the several laws since the nation began, did we have a chance to become anything worthy of notice or admiration.
It is government that makes all things possible. It will be government that will forever esteem as sacred our privacy, property and potential. Governments are nearly perfect now, and we ought to seek their wisdom, have faith in their mandates and obey any and all requirements.
Man can do nothing without peace. Governments are the midwife of tranquility. The sure and steady example of nobleness and grace.
As Dr. Laura Schlessinger recently stated, "If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear of any government, ever."
The time has come to melt our personal firearms and to raise a statue to memorialize the great, the grand, the most wonderful creation of man on earth: Our Government.
They, our friends, gave us the gift of the Patriot Act so that we could become as angels. O Rise up! Be glad. Rejoice and weep with great passion...for we have the finest assemblage of near angels watching over us, and their sons and daughters will likely exceed them, too.
What a thrill it is to be an American!
Thank you for allowing me to express my heartfelt feelings, and I am sure that all Americans feel pretty much the same.
Please, give my Best Answer to another, as I cannot bear any more blessings in this life, lest I should burst with joy.
Thank you.

I have read good portions of it as soon as it was realeased. I am quite pleased with how it is setup...makes a lot of sense to me. Can anyone site any wrong doings that have taken place since it was passed? And before you answer the audit that was released 2 weeks ago saying the FBI overstepped itself...what 9 times or 14 something like that, let me say all of those were done (as stated in the audit) while following terrorist leads. I am sorry but I want the FBI pushing the envelope when looking for the bad guys. As soon as i hear they are wiretapping people to find out non-terrorism related info then I will say we have a problem. Until then I'd like the FBI/CIA to err on the side of being too aggressive rather than sitting on tehir hands letting the lawyers run the war on terror. for the bozo who compares it to a gestapo state, get real, if we were a gestapo state all teh muslims would be in concentration camps u dope.

It is not a good thing. Now the question is when you or I be put on that list. In some states if you mention the constitution you could be put on the terrorist watch list. Who is going to argue when it is for our "protection".

I've read it, it sounds crazy, I don't think there's a way to prevent another attack so the Patriot Act is a waste

i read the act while in prison and it first came out.
what there saying is America no longer has any rights and the government will do as it wants without the threat of recourse.
if you don't see things there way that deem you a terrorist and toss your *** in jail

The patriot act takes away liberty and will not stop terrorism.

No.....it's nothing more than giving basic human rights away all for our "benefit". Problem is....I haven't seen a benefit yet. I'm not safer. More at risk than ever before.

It hasn't affected me one bit. And it has also helped prevent more attackes on my country. So I have no choice but to say Yes, it is a good thing.

Umm, I guess it would depend on what your perspective is on prison, boot camp and stalking.
