What is my budgie doing? (worried)?

I had left the room for about 15 minutes,and when I came back, my budgie was stretching it's neck forward and opening it's beak,kind of like it was choking. This event is happening about every 8 seconds, and it's been going on for maybe a minute. My budgie (Pipi) doesn't seem to have any symptoms of sickness,so whats going on?

Update:

This is NOT Pipi's yawn-what freaking me out most is the way she is stretching her neck forward...

Update 2:

budgie=parakeet

Update 3:

My budgie stopped,after doing the above for about 90 seconds.

    It sounds like your bird is regurgitating (bird may swallow it or spit out a soft pellet) or bobbing. This is common in all birds. Birds do this for mating and feedig [of young] purposes.....the bobbing is for affection and the regurgitation is a 'present' for you (you are its mate).

    Get concerned and go to the vet if your bird gets fluffed, lethargic, sits for prolonged periods on the bottom of his/her cage, has difficulty breathing, looses conciousness or appears to be straining. These can all be signs of a stuck egg or serious systemic disease.
