PLEASE help with my scorpion and his molting?
my emperor scorpion is molting. keeping his tank moist is no problem, but i'm having problems with humidity. what kind of light can i use to help bring the humidity up? also when i spray him he seems to be in pain or maybe trying to molt. i hope i am not doing anything wrong. i'm at a loss here. any advice. anything would be appreciated. he is my first scorpion. i am worried and i want the best for him. his name is uncle rico by the way. thanks.
i'm spraying directly on him. just making sure the excess water gets to him. he keeps soaking his water dish. i've refilled it three times already.
he has a ten gallon tank and the appropriate heating. he is by a heater for extra heat and humidity. he is just not doing good at all. i am very worried.

hello, I've got a blue tail scorpion and i used special soil for its bedding and kept it moist like u do but i never used to spray directly on him, it sounds like its having a bad molt and if u have not got a heat mat then try putting the tank near a radiator to get some humidity. i don't have a heat mat for mine and its always been fine and moist without one! scorpions don't really need a light unless u want to get it one but that depends on how big the tank. i would put a lamp near the tank if you want to give it some light and get a little heat mat and put that under its tank, but make sure you only place the mat a third or so under the tank so it don't get to hot and so the scorpion has a choice of a hot and a cool side. hope I've helped you! good luck

Now this is a shot in the dark, but when i had snakes and when they would have trouble shedding i would give them a bath in mineral oil. im not sure if that will work with a scorpion but check it out...
