Does anybody else feel like American Idol is washed up yet???

Well, all I can say is that none of the contestants really have that "it" factor this year. Kelly Clarkson had it, although Taylor hicks did not. It just hasn't been the cream of the crop these past couple years. But I don't think it should be canceled-it's fun to watch the really funny people.

no, i think that pointless stuff like jerry springer, the simpson, the family guy, south park , you know shows that noone's definitely not gonna benefit from, should be cancelled. Now i do watch them, just like i watch American idol, but if i had kids, i wouldn't allow them to watch the shows because they already have enough mental battles that will come their way that is going to need to be fought through (drugs,sex,& sexuality,diseases etc.) and they don't need to have shows that pursuade them towards negativity, Kids are very influenced. Except for springer, those are all attended for children to watch because these are cartoons. American idol isn't really hurting nobody, it's actually leaning towards trying to help somebody. I have a question for you that think its washed up.... If it was a real good friend , relative, neighbor, or yourself in the top 10 or less, would you still feel like it should be cancelled? Im just trying to be realistic. Its wayyyyy worst things on t.v going on that american idol shouldn't be an issue. Sorry so long

I have to agree. This is one of the most boring seasons in my opinion. I'm really not feeling any particular contestant. Although, Melinda is excellent and I also like Blake because he is unique and has his own style. For the most part, I just don't think this season is that exciting. Personally, I don't see it lasting much longer, but if the ratings stay high, who knows.

it seems as though they are running out of talent for the show...the first 2 and the 4th year were the best by far...kelly clarkson is very popular, ruben studdard is not but i still love him anyway...and carrie underwood is terrific...i think they keep getting the same people auditioning every year and they are running out of anyone really good...
