    I like this one:

    Here lies the body of William J

    Who died maintaining his right of way

    He was RIGHT! Dead right!

    As he sped along

    But he's just as dead as if he'd been dead wrong!

    I keep telling my family that they're going to put on my tombstone

    We should have listened to her!

    I like these:

    When I Am Dead, My Dearest

    by Christina Rossetti

    When I am dead, my dearest,

    Sing no sad songs for me;

    Plant thou no roses at my head,

    Nor shady cypress tree:

    Be the green grass above me

    With showers and dewdrops wet;

    And if thou wilt, remember,

    And if thou wilt, forget.

    I shall not see the shadows,

    I shall not feel the rain;

    I shall not hear the nightingale

    Sing on, as if in pain:

    And dreaming through the twilight

    That doth not rise nor set,

    Haply I may remember,

    And haply may forget.

    Our revels now are ended. These our actors,

    As I foretold you, were all spirits and

    Are melted into air, into thin air:

    And, like the baseless fabric of this vision,

    The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces,

    The solemn temples, the great globe itself,

    Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve

    And, like this insubstantial pageant faded,

    Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff

    As dreams are made on, and our little life

    Is rounded with a sleep.

    -- William Shakespeare

    My kids have said they are going to have "It's not rocket science!" put on my stone. I am always adding that phrase onto a scolding.

    My own choice - "Game. Set. Match."

    I saw a stone in the yard where my parents are buried that says 'that's the way the cookie crumbles'.

    Here lies a true Man of GOD. He served the Lord wholeheartedly. He died preaching teaching and reaching peoples with the Word of GOD as his source and strength.

    If you would like to pay your respects come on down to Creepy's Haunted House. Mourners get 50% off the murder ride!!!

    I don't want to be buried. I would however love to have my skeleton placed in a haunted house. I would love some animatronic work with a speaker inside so they could play messages from me. I am a Halloween addict I want to scare after I'm gone.

    HAHAHA!

    "I told you I was sick". A classic.

    I won't have a tombstone because I'm not an aethist nor am I Christian, but well, here's my thought:

    "Will Be Back Soon."

    Just my name and the date is all that is needed, even then I'm not sure that matters. I don't believe the mark I leave on the world will extend past 2 generations.

    Just my name and the dates of when I was born and when I died. Anyone who knew me while I was alive knew everything about me and anyone who didn't most likely would not care. Either way I would be dead so it would not matter to me.
