Is your dog's food on the recalled lists?

Hi,

There are two separate recalls of canned pet food going on as of March 17, 2007.

The first is by menufoods which produces foods for 20+ companies.

The second is by Proctor and Gamble, makers of Iam and Eukenuba.

Go here to the FDA site for more information:

http://www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/NEWS/2007/NEW01590.h...

Go to the BOTTOM for the P & G portion of the announcement. You'll need to go to menufoods (use the link) to see if your dog's food is listed.

So, the question is: is your dog's food on the list?

Nope my dog food is not on any of these lists.

I do not like some of the things these companies use in their pet food products and use something higher in quality than these brands of food.

This is to the answers shown in regards to this page.... its actually menu foods WET FOODS and GRAVYs that have been recalled. This includes Eukanuba, Iams, Natural Choice, Nutro, and many other brands, but they are all owned by the same manufacturer. And by 8 am tomorrow all retail providers will have completely removed these products from their shelves. (So unless you have already purchased these products you are safe.)

Purina and Science Diet are NOT recalled products. They are volunteering to remove alot of their wet foods to ensure the people that we are doing everything possible to make sure pets are as safe as possible.

All dry foods are safe so if you are worried just feed your pets dry food. Alpo, Ol;Roy, Science Diet, Purina, Whiskas, Friskies, Royal Canin and countless other brands are COMPLETELY SAFE.

Nope I would not buy any of the foods involved in the recall. This is why I feed mostly raw and when I do occassionally feed dog food I only buy holistic.

It really doesn't surprise me since all foods listed are in the low quality category to begin with.
