If you could sell your soul, what would be your price?
Religiosity aside, if a being of supernatural power approached you and offered to grant anything you wished, what would you wish for? You would die ten years later and go to a tormented afterlife for eternity, but the being would have the power to grant any wish.
Please, no answers of ‘nothing is worth it,’ I Don’t know’ or any religious objections. This question is meant to spark theoretical debate, not theological debate.

This is just a bad deal. Suppose you were not to die. Even then, would you do do whatever you want for 10 years so you could be tortured every day for the next ten years? I think not. It is not so much that nothing is worth it. This particular deal is not worth the trouble of even considering. Provided the other person was truthful and stuck to his end of the bargain, though, there IS a way out of this. I would get to define what eternity is and what torture is. So, I could decide for instance, that what I perceive as 1 second is equal to eternity and drinking Pepsi instead of Evian water is torture. So, I would have a blast for 10 years and drink Pepsi for one second in return.

Don't think you can set supernatural powers and so much hell outside of religion, philosophy, psychology, or Hollywood.
Some days I would go cheaper than others, if you know what I mean Vern! Apparently you are not an attorney; otherwise you would know that time is money and ten years won't cut it! To the price?
My price --- 10,000 worlds like this one, in a pristine state, one good hearted virgin for each world, 120 years per world and full creative power on each world.
Since I know that hell only exists for the devil and his angels and a few of the world's worst actors, I would sleep on this one. And my demand allows an ID of the power and several ways out of the deal.

While obviously not to die and bypass the damned for eternity thing . Truth is I'd probably ask it to wait a minute while I ran and got someone else to wish for say 2 billion dollars tell them they have to split it 50/50 with me since I basically gave them my wish .... this way I'm one billion dollars richer but yet I again don't have to endure the whole tormented afterlife thing ....well unless I get greedy and kill the nameless bystander for the other billion .

I want to be a all powerful Witch that can help all with all issues. Have powers and do spells. Doing good for all the ten years would fullfill me. Good question by the way....

NOTHING. Is this question a joke? 10 years of something good for an eternity of suffering? I wouldn't ever sell my soul.

Pay off all my bills, give me money, have my daughter go to college graduate with a wonderful degree, marry a wealthy man and live a very good life and always be happy.

I would not sell my soul at any price. I would sell a portion of my time for something more but I would not give the right to own myself.
We are told to seek out truth for ourselves but many through ignorance sell out there own soul without even knowing it. We sell our souls everyday for the price of ignorance so we can live in peaceful bliss or make believe safety.
To make my point I will use God and Satan. What do you think is happening when you believe in none sense like a creator or sit in the belief your life will be better in some after life? You sell your soul to a God in this life for a promise of a life that will last forever. Then what is the difference between God and Satan? Both promise you something great but with a consequence but God motivates through fear. You are taught to fear Satan but with him you have a real choice.
Satan just sells his promise in the reverse of God. Satan's bargain comes with now satisfaction while God's pay off is at some time in the future. With God's bargain you are punished for not choosing him so what kind of choice it that? Gods offer is fear motivation at its best. This fear mechanism works so well governments have been using against people for all of time in conjunction with ignorance like religions.
What people don't understand their soul belongs to them and no one else. Why do you think you are being tricked it to giving up your soul through a promise of an after life by a God or Satan in the form of an immediate gratification? Our mental, emotional, and physical freedom is so precious mankind have been duped in many ways to give up his ownership of self to others for some preconceived notion of happiness.
Your only sin is not thinking for yourself and protecting your own higher development into what you really are; a being of creation. That means your ability to use your own mind to create yourself into whatever you choose. Governments and religions have been stealing this right from men as long as they both have been around. I am not an anarchist. I firmly believe in rules that protects of all yet give us the maximum freedom to be unique.

i would wish for the power over my own soul, so that i would be assured of the 'tormented afterlife' thingie not happening, and with that assurance, i would be able to live a freer life

I would wish for the ability to reshape all reality to conform to my will. Then, of course, I would reshape things so that my sould could not be taken, and I could neither age nor die. After that...the Universe becomes my tinker-toy...
