itunes and little grey exclamation marks.?
I recently got an Ipod Nano.... And I want to add songs to it.... But I am new to Itunes...
Almost every song that Is in my "itunes library" has a little grey exclamation mark in front of the song. It won't let me play the song, but gives me the message
"The song " name of song " could not be used because the original file could not be found. would you like to locate it?
And then in gives me the option of "yes" or "cancel". If I click yes, it makes me look all over my system for the song I want to play... when I find it and click it. then Itunes will paly it.
What do I do to make itunes find all theses songs with out my help?

You could try re-adding them to your iTunes library that always seems to work out for me

The reason this is happening is because you changed the path of the original file that iTunes was using to play the music, so if you dont want to have to do it song by song, Id suggest you put the songs back to where they were before you moved them.

OK apparently your music isn't where iTunes is supposed to be looking for it. You either need to move you music into the default folder that iTunes uses, or you can change the default to the folder where you music currently is.
