Windows Loader Error 3? Help?
My Win2000 popped up with this little beauty upon reboot yesterday. It will not load from CD or diskette and will not go into safe mode. Any ideas?
Ok, nevermind that - now it shows a hard drive error and will not re-load Windows -and I need to get to my stuff! Any help?
Tried slaving it, would not boot at all, and that was with a brand new drive. Any other suggestions?

The bottom line with loader error 3 is a problem with the Registry file called system. If you are able to overwrite that file with a good backup--which you can only do from a boot source external to the one flagging the error--like from another bootable partition or from a utility like Winternals ERD --which boots from CD, then you'll be back in business. http://www.xtremepccentral.com/forums/showthread.p...
