You are facing problem because you are not having the codec for the particular video type, for this you need to install the missing codec. To identify which codec is missing, just get a GSpot software from http://gspot.headbands.com/ and install it. Open GSpot and drag drop the video file on GSpot window, and it will detect that which codec you need to install to run the video. It will show the codec name for audio and video. Take the missing codec (video in your case) name and search it on google and get the codec and install it on your system and now open the video, hope it works.

This very same thing just happened to me the other day. You need to either get the DivX codec or the XviD codec. I recommend XviD.

    Go here:

    http://www.koepi.org/xvid.shtml

and click the "XviD-1.1.2-01112006.exe" to download it (its right at the top), and then run it
