Experimental Pilot's License?
I have a question and i thought it would be easier just to get input from the pilots on here. I'm thinking about building my own plane and everything but I was just wondering what it takes to get a license to fly it if i do build something like that. I'm really good on the FS2004 game.

You should look into the Sport class. It is usually less than $3000 to attain. However, you must have a driver's license. Ooops.
Seriously, forget experimental; John Denver and many others have had incidents in such aircraft. Buy at least a certified Sport or GA aircraft. You will be glad you did.

You will need at least a recreational pilot certificate, not much use if you ask me (too many limitations) the sport pilot certificate limits you on weight, hp, number of passengers etc.
Private pilot certificate will give you the most bang for your buck
There is no such thing as a experiential pilots license, the experimental designation is for the aircraft, not the airman..
FS 2004 IS NOTHING LIKE THE REAL THING< except for perhaps for navigating using the nav radios You WILL need a CFI to teach you to fly!

In the US the term "Experimental' only applies to the aircraft certification, not the licence of the pilot.
FS2004 will not prepare you for the experience of flight, but it is quite a good tool for qualified pilots to improve their instrument navigation skills.
