what do you think about "big Brother" telling you what you can do?

this question is not good or bad habits.. but about gov. being able to tell you what you can and can not do..

In charlotte, NC the gov passed a law saying you can not smoke in public or PRIVATE clubs or restraunts. they are also looking to pass a "FAT TAX" meaning if you eat things they think are bad you pay extra taxes... do you think gov. should be able to tell you what they think....

Remember the power you give the gov. today will be used against you tomorrow when the other side is in charge.

    IN MY OPINION,

The GOV has no right to tell anyone what to do with their own body. This includes medications, as well as recreational drugs, piercings, etc.,

However, when it hinders another persons "life and liberty", such as in restaurants, etc., you have to side with the rights of the other people that wish NOT to be around it.

When it comes to night clubs, and the like, you would think that if a person did not like to be around those substances, they would go to church instead of a night club!

As far as a "fat tax" is concerned, that is just absolutely ridiculous. Boy, the GOV can sure profit off of this one!

After years of "burger's" and "fries", if the government imposes a "fat tax" you can really see the conspiracy in that can't you!

BIG BROTHER IS JUST ANOTHER NAME FOR THE GOVERNMENT - I GUESS TO MAKE IT SOUND NICER?

IN ESSENCE: WHAT YOU DO IN YOUR OWN HOME IS YOUR BUSINESS,

WHAT YOU DO IN PUBLIC IS EVERYONE'S BUSINESS!

I have a real problem with big brother. I don't understand how anyone would want to give up their freedoms to an incompetent organization such as the government. whether it be Federal or State they are both the same.

I think it is an abomination of our Constitutional Rights, as well as the ideals and principals our forefathers laid down, to escape

    what we have become.
