If Lance Briggs leaves the Bears, Would you put Archuletta has a LB to replace Lance Briggs?
I want to knwo your opinion. My opinion, yes, because in his career he is known to stop the run, hes good at blitez, he had great tackling seasons as ram and had 100 tackle season as well. I would put chris harris as the free safety and daniel manning jr as a CB/S. mike brown at SS. if brown gets injured again we can have a archuletta at SS and have experience at it. Would you agree with me?

size isnt a big issue with LB's anymore. cato june is a prime example of a safety moving to LB and being a dominate player. the only problem with moving a player. is that they have to learn the technique and plays over again. in theory that would work. but in reality. it wont because of the training that is involved in playing a different position.

Archuletta's best years were in St. Louis. The Skins misused his abilities and I heard was benched.
I think the Bears will try to draft a replacement for Briggs and use Archuletta for SS. Who knows what the plan is for Mike Brown. This is an obvious insurance policy in case Brown is hurt again----like Griese was for Grossman a year ago.
I don't think Archuletta can replace a Briggs.

Thats what I thought as soon as I heard about the Archuletta trade. Now they can trade away Lance Briggs likes he wants. Also the Redskins used him as a cover safety not a hard hitter... so he could also fill in as a nice safety in the Bears system since they like to keep one safety up (like the Broncos do with John Lynch). They paid a lot of money to get him so they must have some plan.

Yeah as I Giants fan i might like to be sure Briggs enjoying for great Blue. Antonio Pierce is physically powerful pals with Briggs and is making a similar revenues pitch the borught Arrington final year. with a bit of luck the Bears can determine on a deal to deliver him to East Rutherford, he keeps to be healthful and could become something of the NFC East's problem for years yet to come lower back.

No I dont for the reason he isn't a LB hes a SS and thats makes a big difference when you are on the line compared to being 10 yards of the ball.

The thing is, Archuleta was pretty good in St. Louis, and now he's back with his old defensive coordinator (Lovie) so I think he should be decent as a nickel back, if nothing else. He's too undersized to play LB though.

this shows how stupid you all are....havent you all heard of cato june?safety in college, pro bowl linebacker in the nfl....it also shows how much u all know about archuleta....he is a converted linebacker....he isnt lance briggs...but if he gets cut or traded, archuleta should be the man..although i dont see it happening...

A safety to a linebacker is a hard transition. He will need to bulk up alot to make it work.

HAHA. No.
He is not big enough and hes is only 6'. He is not even a good safety, so how is he going to play LB??????

theres no way, he does not have the size or the experience and is to late in his career to learn the position.
