Photographers: Do you like it when models post their rates?

I am thinking of adding new wording to my portfolios on OMP and elsewhere....

I feel that by stating my rates, or atleast ranges, that this would help me avoid wasting my time in going thru emails...

If you are NOT a photographer, do you feel that this is the best ettiquite?

Why not post your rates...I post my rates for sittings and prints. Might as well be up front to avoid wasting everyone's time.

On the other hand - you could also make up a price sheet and let people know that hourly and day rates are available on request (this might add some mystery to the whole thing and give you the appearance of being more exclusive.).

To answer your question (as a photographer), I wouldn't think any less of you if you had info on your rates and I might be glad you saved me the trouble of having to ask. But then I have never paid someone to take their photograph (they hire me) but I can't imagine a creative director, ad agency or photog trying to build a portfolio is going to have an issue with knowing whether you are in their budget if you have a look that they like. Good luck!
